# Directions:
01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
03 - Add the eggs and vanilla extract; whisk until fully combined.
04 - Sprinkle the flour, baking soda, and salt over the wet ingredients. Gently fold together with a spatula until just combined; do not overmix.
05 - Fold in the chocolate chips, dried cherries, and nuts (if using) until evenly distributed.
06 - Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
07 - Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers look just set.
08 - Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
